    Radials vs. Street Tires

    I have Cooper Cobra "Radials"


    I was wondering if there is a difference between regular street tires and "radials"

    hmm, good question. I have Cooper Cobra GT Radials too.

        99% of modern regular street tires are radials.

        Radial refers to the method of tire construction. Another type of tire is bias-ply which up until about 30 years ago were what you ran. Now you usually only see bias-ply tires on trucks and classic/antique cars that have not been modernized and are still running original-type tires like red-lines.

            Yeah, thats what i figured it was. I was just thinking originally that its all gonna happen at once, not a little bit at a time.
