I mean just a strut tower brace, with no SFCs. How much of a difference did the STB make? I had one guy (with a V8 Camaro) tell me that his didn't make a difference on his car. Thanks.

Well, I think that if theres a differnce in anything, its not somthing that you can feel like a swaybar or SFC's but it will probably show a difference in time in the strength of the front end. I have a BMR and its great. The feel isnt different, but I know its doing somthing under there better than before. I would say get one, you cant go wrong. If anything, it looks good under there and if it doesnt help, everyone wouldnt get one. Hope this helps...

It depends on if the car is a hard top or ttop. If you have a hard top car you probably will not notice a difference. But if you have a 'vert or ttop you can notice a difference.Keith - 99 'maro - White M5 - bumpstick and boltons - 13.65 @ 101 N/A

I have the Hotchikis STB installed on my T-top camaro and where it helps is cornering and fast lane changes at highway speed (hollywood style )
Cornering was more stiff...car felt like it was actually on the road. Body roll was minimized in handling. I enjoy it. Go for it...but see if you can get a low price on it...like under $160

True that. I instantly noticed a difference in sharp cornering w/ my stb, and that is the only susp. modd i've done thus far. Next are sfc's! i pout my sway bars on, and a week later the STB came in (funny ordered them at the same time) I felt a difference with the sway bars, and the STB made a big difference on my car, but my car has 114k on the chassis, and was in a serious accident in the front where the front frame was damaged and fixed. I felt a difference. Now on a car thats brand new with less then 20k, I am not sure it will do much.
for waht its worth I was reading up on autcrossing mods, and one of the first things they say is do a STB. I mean its only lik $85 and looks nice.
by the way with the sway bars and STB, it was like night and day when I went autocrossing, i diddn't even push the car to the limits, it was such a didiference then before.

The STB made a large difference in ride quality and predictability even when cornering moderately on both my coupe and my TTop cars.
The STB even saved my life by holding the frontend solid as a rock when my bird got wrecked - I should send BMR a thankyou note.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

Original post said strut tower brace, so now I'm confused.

Shock tower/strut tower are the same thing. However the LMP link you posted is for the chrome-moly version which has a different tubing size from the standard stb, as indicated in its description.
Just fyi, convertibles don't really have sfc's, there just internally reinforced from gm. Kenny brown sells some double diamond sfc's specfically designed for convertibles, which i plan on getting.2002 Electron Blue Corvette Coupe
13.083@108.23

2002 Metallic Red Grandprix GTP SOLD
14.49@94.42 (Bone stock)

2002 Black Convertible Camaro Z28
times comming real soon!
