i fishtailed and did a 180 into a curb, ruined my tire and my rim, and so i put the spare on and drove home, now i notice when i brake i get this pulsating feel from the brakes.. does anyone know what this could be.? i really need to know because my car could be worse than i think

Ok the rotor is usually a nice flat surface... Warped means now there are small hills or valleys instead of a nice flat surface. Warping be caused by a lot of things but a common cause is hard breaking (causing the rotors to heat up) then fast cooling (going through a puddle?). If you didn't feel it before the accident I doubt it's just a warped rotor. When the wheel hit did it contact the caliper? if its one warped rotor, AND in the rear, doubt you'll feel it. rear brakes have less then half the stopping power and divide that by two, and you're talking about a fairly small amount.
So if its from only one rotor, its worse than just being warped.
my guess is that your front ones are warped but you just never noticed it until after the accident.
I have a 2001 and I've already replaced the rotors, and I can tell I'll have to over the summer again.
Replacing rotors is as easy as taking the wheel off. so just buy the rotors you need and take care of it yourself, if that is all thats needed.

00firebird when is the last time you changed your brake pads i used to think my rotors where warped then i changed the break pads and it went away, might want to look into that if you cant afford or are to lazy to replace a rotor jsut a thoughtno fate but what we make<br /><a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1</a>

alright, I got my tire and wheel put on, drove around for about 5 minutes... i noticed i still felt the pulsating feeling... it was worst when i got up to about 40-50 and then slowly applied the brake.
I did not notice any visible damage to the rotor, could there be something else causing this? could it be the tcs ?
