I got mine from Essex Distributors in Richmond, BC, Canada. At my door the cost was US$475.00 including 14%tax & all duties etc. It's expensive to order from US to Canada - everybody has their hand out.
When I was searching for prices, these are what I found. I was after 1913/1914's, and these are what I was quoted:
Oops - hit the wrong button!
Continued:
Summit Racing $95.95/$79.95
PerformanceCenter.com $97.24/$82.23
AutoZone USA $160.00/$89.99(???)(might
have screwed this one up)
That's the best I found. Freight in the lower 48 is way cheap, and one of theses should work.
It may be possible to call Essex 604-231-0755 and see if he can't order from Bilstein & have them shipped direct to you by them. Might get a price break that way. Good dude. Tell him Ken from Victoria referred you.
Essex ordered 1913's for me & Bilstein shipped the SLP spec. That's where it all began!
I'm going to get in touch with Strano tomorrow just to see which front shock he's currently stocking and shipping out. If's he's got the SLP spec I'm ordering from there, if not, it looks like ls1speed is the winna!
Thanks for your input everyone. I called Strano Parts and they are shipping the newer spec shocks even though their web site still says the old model numbers. I'll be placing my order in the next couple days. They are running 329.00 plus shipping right now. Shipped to my door it's cheaper than the price from ls1speed.com. Oh yeah, I wouldn't buy from that ebay seller either. They've got a very good rating but every single one of their negatives complains about taking like a month to get their order. I don't want to be one of those people. Thanks again!
Will that package from strano parts fit the v6. all it says is lt1 or ls1. i dont want it to make my car sit any different height wise. it probably doesnt matter im just new to this

Doesn't matter. OEM the V8 cars have different components but shocks and springs should fit the same.
As far as I know ride height is mostly dependent upon your tires and springs. I really don't think shocks have enough pressure in them to significantly affect the height. If there is any difference, you'll probably never know.
