i mean, just the steering wheel. like when the car is parked and not moving. just grab the top right of the wheel and see if it pulls down and toward the left. i do have some alignment issues though, well a thumping in my front end. it still drives straight as an arrow though....a cam-arrow,

sorry, lame joke i know I couldnt resist

        Possibly the rag joint.

there are several areas that can cause this. Play in the rag joint, play in the inner or outer tie rod ends, or play in the rack itself. Most often the rag joint becomes loose and can be solved by the rag joint eliminator by unbalanced engineering. Have an assistant turn the wheel while you check for slop in those three places.

NOTHING TO DO WITH STEERING THE CAR> just the steering wheel it self bobs from top right to bottom left.

No slop in wheels, jsut the steering wheel

Ah... the tilt column is assembled in sections and there are a couple of bolts that frequently loosen over time. This allows the column to get play in it. It is a royal PITA to get to. The steering wheel/airbag are removed and the column is disassembled from the top, piece by piece until you finally get to the few bolts that require re-tightening. Then you reassemble. It is much easier by removing the entire column from the car and doing this on a bench. Plan on at least 3-4 hours, not including re-installing the column in the car.

I know what your talking about. Mine does it also. I blieve its in the verticle adjustment on the stearing colum. It gets annoying sometimes when I'm driving aggesively on the highway but other than that it really doesn't bother me.
