  • $104 for Ball Joints?

Went to Autozone today, and got quote(s).
    Upper: (each)
    Perfect Circle # FA921 $13.99
    Perfect Circle # FA3000 $14.99 (oversized)
    Lower: (each)
    Perfect Circle # FA2111 $36.99 (special Order)

Never heard of Perfect Circle, unless you are talking about one of my favorite groups.
And, what does oversized mean? Should I get it?
The guy at the store didn't seem to know too much.

I got the regular (not oversized) perfect circle ball joints from autozone and they look to about the same quality as TRW. In fact it looked like the same part. BTW your prices are reversed. The upper ball joints are 36.99 and the lower ball joints are 13.99. I still can't get anyone to tell me what oversized ball joints are. But i've had my perfect circle ones on for about 5 days and the steering has been tight and responsive. no more noises either.

Oh, ok. The guy printed out an invoice with the part numbers and that's what it said. Told you he didn't know too much ;)

The oversized are just $1 more, so I'm gonna go with them.

      Thanx!

You use an oversized when the old part has been rubbing and worn the spot where the ball joint sits. I would think that using an oversized when you don't need it would make it pretty hard to press the ball joint in.
