  • End link length

I just put a 1LE swaybar on the front, and had a question on the length of the spacer for the end links. I didn't order endlinks as I had originally planned on just upgrading the rubber bushings to poly. Well, bending one of the endlinks put that idea to rest.
After some searching, our stockers are 2 5/8". I checked around and couldn't find a definative answer, but for a 32mm swaybar 2 7/8" seems recommended. For my 1LE can I use a 2 7/8", or should I stick with the 2 5/8" (no they do not make a 2 3/4" - already looked).

    Oh, and I did search.

If you car is lowered, it will make a difference too. You are SUPPOSED to get endlinks that will make your sway bars level when the car is on flat ground with no load on it. I don't know exactly what that length is right off hand, but that is technically the best way to set it up. I don't know how much difference it would really make though.

I bought 2 sets of poly endlinks at Advance Auto. (2 different stores on 2 different trips) The front and rear are supposed to use the same part. I got the TRW 18203HD both times. One set appeared to be stock length and had red bushings, the other set was shorter and had blue bushings. I put the shorter set on the rear.

 You know, I read that whole page before, but somehow managed to skip right over the 32mm(1LE) portion.

            Here's a question:
My car is lowered about 1.5" and I'm running 32/21 mm sway bars. What is the reccomended length on the spacers for that?
