• Squeaking brake question..

I know that I need new pads and rotors on my front wheels, but is it normal for my brakes to squeak a little when I'm NOT pushing the brake pedal? It's particularly bad when I'm backing up in reverse.. Just asking..

Well if its a super light squeek its probably just grit on the rotor/pad or something. I wouldn't worry too much about it if you're getting new stuff soon.

You can always buy a can of break cleaner and spray them off. works like a charm. Can get it at orelly's, napa, autozone, etc.
