  • Anyone with 18's come on in!!

I am looking at getting a set of 18in wheels and I have a few questions. Anyone know anything about ADR wheels???? What is the best size of tire to get??? A friend of mine suggested 245/40-18 but I'm not sure. Thanks for the help.

I never heard of ADR wheels, but 245-40s will work.

As long as you get the correct offset for the WIDTH of the wheel, the HEIGHT is fine. As for tires, the WS6/SS/Firehawk come with 275/40's, but hey are on 17" wheels. If you want to go 18" the correct tire size is 275/35/18, this way the wheel/tire combo won't throw off your speedo.

I'm going with 18's and 245/40 rubber in the front and 275/35 rubber in the back. I'm going with narrower rubber on the front, because the turn-in is better.

      Any other questions, just ask.

      -Andrew

BTW, this is a good site for the questions you are asking:

never heard of ADR. I wouldn't go any bigger than the wheels than 275/35 on back and front. 275 on the front will rub slightly on hard turns. Thye will also rub going slowly or at a stop. But it isent bad at all.

Those are very nice wheels, and a nice price too!
If I may make a suggestion, if you want them, just buy them, don't bid. I recently stole some 16x8 torque thrust IIs that way for 680 dollars shipped. If I didn't have those coming to me, I would snatch these from under you.

My rims are 18x9 and I use 275/35-18 tires. They have the same outer diameter as the stock wheels. They look great too.

What is the 120 all about, isnt our wheel set up 5 on 4.75 and 114.3, not 120?

17x7 is narrower than your stock wheel. If you go with a 17" wheel you should at least get something 9" or wider.

I run a 275/35/18 in the rear, but also are 10.5 inch wheels, so its not nearly wide enough. Prolly gonan go to a 285/35 and hope they dont rub.
