I would like to get an opinion from y'all.
Which do you prefer, Boxed or Tubular SFC's? If you have a good reason, please post it.
I have the 2 (straight) boxed SFC's on my car, but they are starting to show their age from large bumps that struck them, rust, and other stuff I just don't stop for ;)
The tubular subframes are better for ground clearance. From what I hear, the boxed ones tend to hang lower and therefore will hit the ground as it sounds like you are experiencing. Otherwise, I don't think you will tell a difference in actual performance between the two.

Performance wise there is no real difference. Boxed is supposably stronger but you won't be able to tell a difference just driving it. The only advantage to the tubular is that it doesn't take away any ground clearance. Oh yeah, if you have boxed and no ground effects you can see the SFC a little bit on the sides which looks cool. Not something people would probably notice on the street though, you have to look for it.
I bought the BMR tubular for their "stealthyness". My car is lowered, so ground clearance was a concern, and I got the White powder coated for my White car so if you don't know what you're looking at, you'd never know they're there.
I have the BMR tubular. I like them b/c they don't hang low so the clearance is great plus you can't see them from outside. The only thing I don't like is that when I jack on them b/c they're tucked up, the lip on the car in front of them gets banged up a little from the jack.
My friend has BMR boxed and I have to lift on his car slightly to slide the jack under b/c of clearance.
I run the bmr boxed and they aren't even visible from the side of the car. They tuck up inside the frame of the car, no loss of clearance. These are the new design SFCs.

Sounds like they perfected the boxed style. My friend DEFINITELY has the old style. Got any pics of the new ones?
