• Satisfied Brake pads?

The time has come and im now in the market for some new brake pads. Iv heard good things about greenstuffs and hawks, but im not sure if I really need performance pads like that since I don't autoX or rip on the breaks to hard. I saw a segment on speedvision about Satisfied Brake pads and how they where pretty good but could not find anything when I search this site about them. My question is, has anyone used these pads before and do you like/recomend them or should I just go ahead and get the Hawk HPS's? For the price of satisfied it might be worth a shot. Heres a link to two different Satisfied Pads

and

Performance Friction carbon-metallic for the front,

Generic Auto Zone brand for the back.

Good stuff, cheap too.

If you like the stock pads, maybe just get another set?

They're about the same price as pads like the Hawks or Greenstuffs ($78 front and $43 rear from gmpartsdirect.com), but you know they work well for you, don't squeak, and don't dust very badly..

BTW, if you want to give you brake fluid a complete flush, I've got a vacuum pump that makes it pretty easy. Let me know if you want to borrow it.

Well I broke down and ordered the Hawk HPS's, I figured if im going to pay as much for the stock pads, I might as well go ahead and get a better set that people really seem to like and improove the breaking. Even though I dont autocross it will be nice to have extra breaking power and who knows I might just have to give autoX a shot. It looks awesome! Jeff, thanks for the offer to borrow your vacuum pump, I might have to take you up on it because I will be flushing the sytem when I throw in the new pads. Now I just gotta grab some fluid and ill be set.
Thanks for the help guys

I am a new convert from performance friction to ceramic pads. You should give those a thought.

No problem, just let me know when you need it. It'll take about a quart of brake fluid to do the flush. If you buy ATE Super Blue, you'll be able to leave it alone for a long long time. And the blue color makes flushing real easy, once it goes from gold to nice blue, you're done with that corner. About $10 from OGRacing.com
