How many grease fittings are there and where can i find them? I looked in the repair manual and it was pretty unclear to me where to find them.

I don't really remember seeing any when I did my last oil change. Just look at the tie rod ends and upper and lower ball joints thats where most of the grease fitting are on rack and pinion stearing units like ours. But then again I'm thinking about my 94 3.4L they may have changed things a lil since thing. Hope that helps a lil. -

I will be changing my oil tomorrow, so i am going to take a closer look. I had two other Camaros before this one, both were 3rd generation Z28s, and i remember there being a few grease fittings on them. I know some cars do not require this service, simply because there are none. I thought our cars had a couple grease fittings, and if i can remember correctly i believe i seen two arrows pointing at these fittings in the repair manual; however, i cannot refer to my repair manual right now, a buddy of mine has had it the last few days. But then again, i do not remember seeing any other times i have been under my car. I do not know, hopefully i can find out for sure.

Well while i was under my car today changing my oil and filter, i took a good look and i could not find any grease fittings. But like i had said before, i thought i seen two arrows in my repair manual that was suppose to be pointing to these fittings. Ball joints at least, maybe?
I figured a chevy would have some.

Just about all cars come with sealed ball joints and tie rod ends these days, so you won't find a fitting. If the part has been replaced, then you'll have a fitting. I think GM's have been this way for about 10 years now.1999 Y87 Camaro<br />Whisper Lid, SLP SS Takeoff ExhaustComment

Should i replace the "plugs" with greasable fittings, or is it okay just to leave them alone?
