• Will 1998 V6 rear springs fit on my 1995 V6?

I have a 1995 Firebird and my spring is tottaly gone bad.. so I need a replacement, there is a guy on here that is selling his 1998 v6 rear springs...

Will they fit on my car? Are they the same kind of spring 95/lbs spring rate??

They will fit
They are slightly stiffer
They will not raise your car
I would get them over the V8 takeoffs if you think your old springs are stretched/fatigued.

However, you should run the V6 fronts and rears at the same time from the newer model. If this is not possible, just buy an Eibach prokit or get the fronts from tacreations or some place like that

Do you know the entire history of your car? It may not be a sagging spring. It may be remnants of a previous accident. Happed to be the same thing that you have with my last car. Just a thought if the new springs don't seem to fix it.

You should NOT put rear 98+ rear springs with 93-97 front springs. They are the same spring rate as the V8, higher. Similar to putting a larger sway bar just in the rear. Not a good thing to do.

I agree, except for one thing.

"Similar" could cause someone to misunderstand the actual changes involved. Changing swaybars (either by going to a 2mm larger rear, or by using the "1LE" combo of 32/21) is a _far_ more drastic change than putting on V8 springs. If putting on the V8 rear springs is a bad idea, those swaybar changes are terrible.
