  • Should I replace rear pads??

I'm getting ready to do a front rotor/pad swap on my front wheels. As far as the rears go, could I get away with just replacing the pads? The car has 36,000 miles on it and the rears are the original rotors/pads..

they should look almost brand new, i wouldn't worry about it...but you can feel free to take a look at them to reassure yourself of this when your putting the front ones on. It's cake to change out the front ones, did it in 15 mins for both sides

Are you replacing the rotor cause it's been damaged, to better performing rotors, or is it because some shop told you to? The fronts are guaranteed to wear faster than the rears. Not sure about cars with brake-proportioning systems though. If the pads are just worn out, then replace only the pads. No need to replace rotors, unless you had them turned a couple of times already or if they are damaged.
