Ever since I installed new shocks, springs and sway bars I have had some braking issues. If I am slowly coming to a stop my Low Trac light comes on and I can feel the ABS kicking in. This only happens if I am braking softly. If I brake even moderatly, everything is fine. I assume that the problem is due to something I did installing my suspension, but have no idea on what I may have done.
Any ideas on what the problem is and how to fix it?
The ABS INOP light is not on? Have you checked the sensor connectors to make sure they are fully clipped into place? Did you pull the master cylinder to get to the driver's-side shock tower bolts?

No, the ABS INOP light is not on. I think all the sensors are connected securly. Are you referring to the one that connects to the center of the wheel assembly? And yes, I did disconnent and move slightly the master cylinder when getting to the shock tower bolts.
Make sure the master cylinder is tight on the booster and none of the lines got bent or cracked. Check for leaks.
Yes, the plug that goes into the back of the hubs. Make sure no dirt or water got in the plug.
Replacing shocks/springs/swaybars it almost has to be either something with the master cyl or the ABS sensors at the wheels since those are the areas you are moving around during the install.
Thanks for your help FunkZ. From what you have told me, I am pretty sure I have a bad ABS sensor on the right front. When I was installing my shocks/springs I hit the sensor fairly hard. I didn't mention it before as I did not want to lead the troubleshooting in a particular direction.
I have one last question. How difficult is it to replace the ABS sensor? The Haynes manual does not address it directly, but does show seperating the hub from the steering knuckle. Once that is seperated, does the ABS sensor simply fcome on/off?
AFAIK the ABS sensor is built into the hub assembly and has to be replaced as a whole.
I happen to have an extra pair of spindles/hubs here, I removed the 4 bolts and was trying to separate them to verify this but they seem to be permanently attached. :(
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
