OK.....I just installed Bilstein HD shocks and Hotchkin Springs all around. Here's my question.....My ride is really bumpy and sporatic. The handling is awesome, but I can feel like EVERYTHING. Do I need more time for the shocks/springs to settle in? What could be wrong if that's not the case? Any advice would help.

You added shocks and springs that both lowered your center of gravity and stiffened your car, did you expect something else? You can expect the springs to settle a little over a few weeks, but this will not improve the ride quality much. -

As far as the ride it's not gonna get any better. OK...I understand that, but say I go over one of those bumps in my apt complex to reduce speed, and go over it at about 7-10mph.....It feels like my whole bottom end is gonna shatter. lol.

I was thinking about getting the bilstein shocks and 1" lowering BMR springs.

I had the same problem but with my eibach springs, put new struts and shocks on the same time i put my eibach pro kit springs on, and the ride quality sucked.Comment

Is it the springs or is it the shocks that cause bad ride quality, because i was thinkin of getting the Bilstein HD struts also and getting a new set of stock springs for my car, hoping that will improve the ride quality.Comment

SPRINGS... you put super stiff springs on your car when you should've used your stock ones with bilstein HDs.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

No it does not, only when you use any kind of aftermarket spring. Stick with stock springs, bilstein HDs, and it will make a world of difference and will actually ride BETTER than stock. Mine does!Originally posted by marvin smith:
