  • How's this setup?

I'm thinking that I'm gonna get

    1. 1LE Control Arms, 1982-02 Lower/Rear W/Harder Durometer Bushings from LMPerformance

    2. Trans Mount, 1982-99 1LE Camaro/Firebird Harder Durometer from SLP

    3. poly bushings for my torque arms

Would I be able to notice a difference from adding these things? I'm running with completely stock suspension right now. Any input is appreciated.

I have done many searches for all this stuff and I think this is what seems to be the best. Considering I don't have much money to invest right now into it.

Also, does anyone know where I can pick up the poly bushings for my torque arm?

First question is - what do you want from the car?

Well, my first thought was to get rid of my wheel hop. I was gonna get some BMR LCAs but after doing a search and reading what people have said(like you, FirebirdGT), I thought I needed the 1LE LCAs instead. I still don't understand why the 1LE LCAs would be less expensive than the BMR LCAs. Wouldn't the better product be more expensive?

I'm not sure who it was but someone said that poly bushings on the torque arm would be helpful in reducing wheel hop. Cuz I can't put an aftermarket torque arm on my car.

And I'm not sure why I need the tranny mount other than it would just be more stabilization. That, and it's only $19.95.

I'm really not sure about all of this, but does it sound like a decent way to start with my mods. I really want to notice a difference after everything is put on.

      BTW, it's a street car

But mainly, what I want is to get rid of my wheel hop and I would like to improve my cornering and stability all around.

I'll also be a getting a BMR STB in the near future.

SO NOT TRUE!! The 1LE LCA were designed by GM engineers for SCCA competion. After all the 1LE is the "Autocross Package". See the Technical Database for more info. Most aftermarket LCA are just welded pipe with a nice coat of paint, and bushings from Energy Suspension. In manufacturing (which I am) volume determines cost. To make a 1LE LCA would be very costly for an aftermarket manufacturer, but not GM. I also NEVER recommend use of weld suspension parts, unless it is OEM.
