Im in the process of getting some thin 5 spoke rims off a 2001 C5 vette. These are stock rims and tires, 245 upfront and 275 in the back, the front 17 and rear 18.
i've heard different things from different people and dont know what to do.
will these fit no problem, or should i get spacers?? and if so how thick?? <-- i dont know too much about this.
any help would be much appreciated.

I've got 17x8.5's on mine, but they are not OEM, they are replicas I got off Ebay. When I got them installed they had to bore them out a little bit to get the rear ones to fit on the axle. But that's probably because my rear end is out of a trans am. But all 93-02 fbody rear axles are supposed to be interchangable so that seems kinda weird. You probably wont have any problems though, and if you do, they shouldn't be too hard to fix.
I have OEM 98 C5's and they fit just fine. Same sizes also (245/45/17 fronts and 275/40/18 rears). They look nice and drive excellent. Only drawback is that they slow your car down since they're heavier and bigger than stock, but the looks are worth it.

Here's a decent pic of the wheels on my car, but it's a little dark. I havent really taken many pictures of my car since I've cleaned it up after first getting it. But that'll show you what it looks like, btw mine are the older C5 style with the thick 5-spokes, but it's the same size wheel: http://filebox.vt.edu/users/jpeacott...CP_0491web.jpg
As far as the speedometer, it gets it off a bit, but it's a negligible amount; Maybe 2-3 mph at highway speeds. I've only had one speeding ticket with the car, and the cop clocked me at 82 when I was going just shy of 80, so it's really a small small margin. Much too small to persuade me not to have them.

Thanks for teh complement. Yea and that pic is when the car needed a wax job and the angle of the pic wasn't to good. I just waxed it the other day and the rims look even sweeter with a really clean car. Hope you like your rims, I love mine
