  • C5's don't fit my ride

Can anyone help me out with this?
The center piece of the drum doesn't seen to fit in completely should I grind it down just a bit with a wizard? Looks like they need just a very small grind to fit and also the with of the wheels is 9.5 and looks as if they might scrape if they had tires, has anyone had any problem w/ tire rubbing with 9.5's? Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah you can grind it down a little, I honestly forget which surface people suggest to grind -- the wheel or the axle cap. But one needs to be lightly sanded, and you should be ok. Just make sure you do it enough, so that the wheel doesn't "stick" on, and needs to be hit off with a hammer! (yeah, yikes!)

Im thinkin about the wheel but I don't want any type of blemishes cause the C5's look PRETTY, im thinking more the axle cap.

How about the width of the tires? The wheels are 9.5 and look pretty phuggin wide any one have any problem with the wheel width?

      BTW thanks Wicked 3800

I had to sand my C5s on the rear once I switched to a z28 rear end with disk brakes. I sanded a little of the axle cap and a little from the wheel. You can't see the grind on the wheel anyways.

Im debating which of the two to sand? I think I'll just do a little bit from both the cap and the wheels, the wheels look as if they they're going to be scrapping with the inner fender piece.
I though a 9.5 width would fit perfectly

              huh?

Not sure what your problem is I have zr1s, they are 17X9.5s, with 275/40/17 tires, I have no problems...
