  • Need to replace stock tires (help please)

Guys, I have stock Goodyear eagle GAs on my car as well as stock painted rims. I am looking to get just tires.

Can anyone recommend an all weather tire? I dont care what brand name either. I live in NJ, we dont get a lot of snow but something that isnt horrible in the snow would be nice... also something that handles well in the rain. Sorry i cant get you the tire size i need, i havent gone out to the car to look.

Do you want to buy local or internet, and what size tire do you want?
Internet; I would recommend www.tirerack.com and get a set of Kumho's or Yokohoma's. -BF Goodrich tires if you have money to spend
Local; Dunno...It's been so long since I bought tires locally, I don't remember who has what

I put a set of Khumo Ecsta ASX on my car last fall. Good wet/dry traction and impressive in snow. I never even bothered to put any weight in the back and it was AWESOME in the snow. They are incredibly cheap as well. IMHO, about the best value you will find for the money.

      Bought mine from www.tirerack.com
Dont order them based on stock size. You can go up to a 245/50/16's on your stock rims and get a little extra width.

i have the ecsta 712 and it has rained here every other day. Perfect traction in standing water (shallow) and wet roads. Even hard accelerations and sharp cornering i never felt loose.

see sig, great wet and dry traction, got em for like $108 a piece from tire rack, they are V rated, if you aren't too concerned you could go with the H rated save a little money and get a 50% better treadwear rating. I like the way these stick though

if you wanna stick with the same size that the car came with stock..........go with the Eagle GT-HR tires. They have that new racewrap design and really helps handling. I've had a set on for a year and a half now and the tread has barely gone away. They are pretty sweet if you're just looking for a stock-like upgrade.

Look at all the P245/50R16s... for snow country all-season with great handling I recommend BFGoodrich Traction T/As. Otherwise a good summer only Yokohama ES100 or Kumho will be perfect.
