  • Everything about my suspension SUCKS!!!

everything from the breaks to the suspension sucks *** !!!!! i hate driving this car right now..the sqeeks are annoying the hell out of me and i really cant take it anymore. theres is a sqeel coming from the brakes that started when the car was new that the MOFO chevy dealership wouldnt fix...bastards  .. i took my car in a while back to get the sway bars tightened up in the back cause i thought they were rattling..they wouldnt fix them because my performance exhaust caused them to loosen..what a load of crap  now ever time i drive my car i get sqeeks out of the rear shocks and springs i think..there are grinding noises i hear from back there also

a friend tells me that when i drive my rear suspension bounces horribly enough where he can see my diff cover every few seconds...

SO what the hell is wrong with my car? im going to ***** at the dealer and try to get all new rear suspension componets cause mine obviously suck!!!!!

and what about ceramic brake pads? im thinkin about ordering some of these to replace the POS stock ones that squeel every stop

Sounds like your pads may be glazed over. I'd suggest taking them off, & sanding them some or getting some new pads, & go ahead & have the rotors turned, as well. As far as your suspension problems, not quite sure where to start there. I'm having some problems w/my front suspension (granted I have 1LE front & rear sway bars, bushings, endlinks, & a BMR STB). I think I'm going to remove the front sway bar temorarily to see if the noise goes away or not (mostly a creaking & popping once the car has been driven over a period of time). The dealership 'temporarily' fixed the noise, but it came back a few days later, so I'm somewhat lost as to what to do now.

For the sqeuks on a 1Le do you have to grease those bushings?

I have a set of never used 1LE sway bar bushings never used if you want them $10+shipping if you just want to give you car a set of fresh bushings(assuming yours are older).

As for the original poster, hard to say, I would take a look at your sway bars if they are rattling. Sounds kinda funky if you ask me. SLP takoff shocks are reall cheap you cna check those.

Maybe pull your carpet back and see if your rear shocks are tightened down, when I did my rear axle swap I had some problems with my nuts that held my shocks on I could not tighten them all the way down, and my car would hop around on top of the shock. I jsut got ne nuts and washers form home depot and fixed my problems.

      good luck.

I have the 1LE endlink bushings. They went on when I installed the 1LE sway bars. I finally got up under the car yesterday & greased the fronts, & now the noise has pretty much gone away. I don't expect it to be 100% quiet, but it's much better than it was.

if you have upgraded suspention like I do with Urethane bushings it's usually good to grease all your bushings about the same time you change your oil (every 3,000) it probably doesn't hurt to check them periodically too but I don't know about the stock bushings mine never squeaked and my car had 48,000 miles on it when I bought the car
