Who can tell me the best mod I can do to give thoes curves a big hug?

  • #2
    single mod? probably shocks

combination of mods: shocks, springs, matched sway bars, sub frame connectors, and nice tires.

I have the SLP strut tower brace and I just installed a BMR panhard rod yesterday, and when you take a pretty sharp curve doing 50 or 60, you can feel much less "body roll". I've been shopping around for springs and shocks as well. I'll probably go with Bilstein shocks and the Eibach springs from SLP. They're a little more expensive but they don't lower the car quite as much, which is always a plus in Alabama lol

If I would get a performance upgrade for my shocks and springs would it be wise to upgrade to andvanced sway bars?

Yes, because when you change springs and shocks, chances are the stock sway bars won't be able to keep up.

Dont forget that suspension components were actually design to work together. An upgrade handling option would be SLP S-Bars,STB,SFC. And yes shocks & springs as well.

what do you think about this combo? The bilstein shocks, eibach springs, and the suspension techniques sway bar kit. posted on the LMPreformance site.

If the swaybars you're talking about include a 25mm rear bar, that's way too big, even with those springs. It will unbalance the handling toward oversteer.

IMHO, swaybars are the trickiest suspension mod you can do. It's easy to really screw up the car, and there's a lot of bad choices being sold or recommended on the net.

LMperformance.com has great prices on SLP products. Brandon read the mod encyclopedia is a great source of info.
But if I was you, I would do a search on suspension products by each item at a time and read what some of our members have said about them, for a lot of us already have upgraded our suspension and have said many good thing on various products. specially the one you are considering.
                          GOOD LUCK!

I cannot believe anyone has not said better tires. I have the stock suspension except for my tires and they made a huge improvement on cornering.
