  • ?? For lowered car people

Ok i finally have the money to do it. I wanna get the Eibachs that lmp has and the bilsteins. Do i need to lower the control arm and get an adjustable panhard rod ( i dont race enough were it matters if thats all it effects) ?? Also can this be accomplished my a couple rather knowledgable back yard mechanics?? And anything else that i might need to know about would be sooooo greatley appreciated. Thanx alot

Lower it and see if the axle has moved visibly. If not then you're fine.

Do you mean if the axle moved left to right ??? I am kinda totally lost on this i have read like 35 threads and havent gotten an answer so thats why i posted. LOL this is gonna sound soo stupid but i have two of my friends sit in the truck and they lowered the rear end about an inch ( i wanted to see if i liked the look ) the axle didnt seem to move any i know that is alot different that changing the springs and all but i was just giving an example. Also something i forgot to ask in my original thread i have 255-50 tires on the stock 16" rims i wont rub in the front when i turn all the way will i ?!?!?
      Thanks again.

        275s all around will fit

Panhard rod is connected to the body on the passanger side and to the axle on the drivers side. When you lower, the body comes down, but the other side stays were it's at. If you lower the passanger side the driver side has to go left with a fixed length panhard rod. But it will not go far so you should first see it its visibly off before buying one.

I have a lowered car and I have both an adjustable panard rod and lower control arms and relocation brackets, and trust me they both helped a lot. The Panhard rod is for lateral force as well as keeping the axle centered. I personally like having the beefier parts and I doubt unless I was going to sell the car I wouldn't take them off. The physical ride may be SLIGHTLY rougher but not much. The only reason my suspention is so rough is because my springs suck IMO I'm going to eventually go with Eibachs and Bilsten shocks
