• How well would stock shocks work with 1LE springs?

Basically the topic is my question. 1LE springs don't lower the car at all and it seems to me the stock de carbons would be decent for controlling them. I don't think the car would get the bouncing ricer effect since it wouldn't be lower and the springs aren't progressive rate.

No the car wouldn't be lower but the springs are still stiffer per inch. If you don't also upgrade your shocks to something far stiffer, you will be in an even more underdamped condition - bouncy wouncy!

The stock deCarbons have been proven to be inadequete for all but general road use. The Bilstein HDs are actually strong enough to nearly critically damp a stock spring, and would probably work well with a 1LE. Sam Strano @ Strano parts probably could revalve you some for 1LE springs very easily.

The good part about the 1LE springs is that they're linear. Being linear they're VERY easy to dampen properly and predictably, and hopefully this would create far less body roll for you in AutoX or road racing . I would ask Sam first though - he knows his stuff and can help you out with this. From what I've heard his most common suggestion for V6s is to simply upgrade the hell out of the shocks and leave the springs alone if you don't care about ride height. =)

Have you considered the small drop (0.75") SLP Eibachs, or the new 1" drop BMRs? They both look fairly nice. =)

Rear 1LE springs are not linear.

I'd get a whole new spring/shock setup after you get the 1LE swaybars. either get HD shocks and 1LE springs, or some other combo of springs/shocks that work well together and dampen better than stock, or upgrade to a coil-over setup using HAL ride and height adjustable coil-overs and the Ground control coil-over kit that comes w/ springs already. I'd ask dominic how his car handles w/ the stock shocks and 1LE swaybars.

Progressive, they just don't lower the car as much. (0.75")

I'd be willing to bet that the 1LE shox would work best dude. P/N 22140240 & 22140228 on GMpartsdirect.com I'm going 1LE all the way once I get the scratch together. Can't imagine that Chevy would've packaged this all together if it wasn't optimally matched.
