  • HELP on suspension

I just ordered the SLP suspension package and I was calling around to see what kind of price I could expect to have this installed. Most places said they wouldn't even touch it, and if they would I was looking at about $800 as an estimate!!!

GOOD LORD. is that right, does this sound at all close?

I would love to do it on my own but I have no knowledge of suspension, and besides I do not have any of the tools(jack stands, compressors, torque wrenches, etc) or know anyone that has acess to that stuff.

Basically my question is: What is a REASONABLE price to have this installed?

lca's, phr, and swaybars will take about an hour total for all to be installed. springs and shocks will require a bit of time as well, especially the fronts since u wanna be careful and use a spring compressor. Everyone seems to think our suspensions are weird for some reason. my buddies at the Local Big O tires thought just doing swaybars was gonna be a pain, but w/ me and another person, we put them on in 20 mins. same amount of time as the lca's. PHr will take 10-20 to put on and adjust if u get an adjustable one(but u won't have 2 worry about that since the SLP one isn't adjustable). get a quote for just the springs and shocks install.

overall, I'd say that if u pay for than 500 bucks, ur getting ripped.

I just spoke with a guy in Chesapeake, VA and he quoted me $400. He says he deals with SLP and does alot of f-body and mustang work. Told me no problem to bring it buy and he will install everything.
        I think I just found a winner.
