How can you tell? I'm hearing popping from the rear under little to no accelleration or no braking at low speeds, 30 and under... Ever since I got my 245 50 16's tires my rear looks alot lower infact almost as if it were lower than the front. I might just be seeing things I'm not sure but my car is a Camaro RS with the Y87 package so whats up? Is this normal? Could bad springs bring more weight on the shocks which would cause this sound or am I imagining things?

springs dont really go bad unless they break your car is sitting lower than before because of the tire change and if you think its lower than the front, get a freaking tape measure and find out.

Maybe it is very slightly lower in one area than another, but it is my belief that a LOT of people have this condition on their cars. Unless you have a lot invested in your suspension and you go autoXing a lot, I wouldn't bother doing anything.--David--
The NEW V6Bird Website!
Cardomain site
ΔX

Last spring (over a year ago) (before i knew jack about cars) my rear right would bottom out sometimes, then it got to the point that any bump it would bottom out. Mechanic said it was because of the springs, so I replaced them with SLP takeoffs... could that have been something else?? I know something went bad with the traction bar around the same time and it would bang on left hand turns... also my shocks died. Let the mechanic handle the trac bar problem and picked up SLP takeoff springs and shocks (both were on sae at $25 a pair... I knew no better haha). Would this have been the spring(s) or not?97 Camaro
160* thermostat, z28 shock/springs, 3\" Magnaflow cat, 3\" Magnaflow catback, LT1 disc/limslip/3.42 rear, SLP CAI
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/609893
