Where to install Eibach Pro-kit/Take-off Shocks in So Cal????
Where to install Eibach Pro-kit/Take-off Shocks in So Cal????
I got a set of Eibach Pro-kit/Take-off Shocks that need to go in my '9 3.8L, but I don't think I can handle it myself... so I'd rather let someone experienced do it... Anyone want to help me out? Or can someone recommend me a shop in So Cal that has done this type of job and that can hook up a relatively good deal? My friend with an RSX told me the shop that did his springs and they quoted me about $100 for the install... but I would prefer to find someone that is familiar with the 3.8L camaro.
Anyone with a spring compressor can do it for you no problem. The shocks are easy and the rear springs are easy - the difficult part is the front springs. I wouldn't touch those since they must be inserted under force.
I don't know of a shop, but any suspension shop would probably be gla do do it for you. When I do mine I'll probably take it to sears. Talked to sears last time I went in for a rotation and they said they would do it no problemo
If that shop will install all 4 springs and shocks for 100 bucks, that is one helluva deal. The front shocks are at least a 2 hour job by themselves. You're probably looking at 3 hours for completion. Labor is at least 65/hr now, so 100 bucks is a great deal.
I installed new shocks myself on my car. It is not that hard. The rears will go on in 20 minutes. The fronts are not very technical, just time consuming. Get a shop manual and it will tell you everthing you need to do. The only special tool you will need is a spring compressor that you can rent for next to nothing at most car shops like pep boys or kragen.
Still trying to find oil leak on my Camaro, it’s a tough one. I think it is the oil pressure sender myself. Leaking when raving and going into boost....
