• Torque Arm traction increases?

I am thinking about going with a new torque arm. The brand I am looking at is spohn since it attaches to the floorpan of the car instead of the transmission. My car already has traction issues, even with LSD, 255-50-16 tires, LCA's, SFC's, and Adj. Phr. My question is, will the torque arm help my tires bite more off the line than they do now?

    Shot answer is yes.

And yes you want one that bolts to the floor.

Most of the guys on Greater Cincinnati F Body see as good if not better traction increase with the torque arms than they do LCAs.

If you're looking at spohn I'd also check the BMR xtreme, and trac pac

BMR needs to be welded in, where as the Spohn bolts in place of the stock stamped steel tunnel brace. One reason why I want to go to the spohn setup..... my tunnel brace is long since gone.

Floor pan bolted torque arms = ripped floor pans. The sheet metal isn't made to take the fatigue from the constant up and down flexing.

I'm hoping that my sfc's will help prevent the floor pan from ripping out. if not, then the f-body chassis isn't very strong.

the tunnel brace brackets that spohn TA mount to come off of the frame rails, correct? I question GM on a lot of things, but I dont think that the tunnel brace is mounted to nothing but sheet metal. I have more confidence that Spohn wouldnt develope their Heavy Duty Toque Arm to mount to sheet metal. I could be wrong though.......
