I am running H&R springs with the Suspension Techniques 35/25 bars with KYB AGX adjustable shocks all around. It has a lot of oversteer, but if you know how to control it and get used to it, it's amazing.

Sidenote: V6Bob and FirebirdGT know their stuff and I respect their opinion greatly. I was told that this setup would be too much, but I like it a lot. I do not Autocross the car and my setup would probably suck on the Autocross track so if you want the right setup for competition driving, listen to those guys.

I just called slp and asked what size rear bar to use with the package. He said 21 would be the best.

"A touch more oversteer, but the factory dials in way too much understeer in stock form to compensate for idiots."

I've seen this statement before and it's not true. GM dials in not much (if any) more understeer on their sports cars than does Ferrari or Porsche. A fast car just requires more understeer than you'd think.

Take a look at the setups the fast guys like Strano use in competition. With 292 lb/in front springs they use 32/19 or 35/19 or, with 500-600 lb/in front springs, maybe 32/21 or 35/21. Compare those to a stock Z28 with 292 lbs/in front springs and 30/19.

OK, you don't have 300 HP. For the street a big thing is that you need to handle wet weather, which amounts to the same thing and requires more understeer. When I was racing Formula Ford (about 110hp, 1000lbs, soft race tires), and it rained, everyone who knew anything disconnected the rear bar completely.

Sliding the rear around is not the hot setup, ever.

V6Bob, remember that when you setup a car you do it for each driver. Some drive more aggressive than others and so certain setups just aren't forgiving enough.

I have no problems with the 32/21 though, and I outran 2 transams running Victoracers on AutoX day last time I went... and I was on street rubber.

if u don't like the oversteer or understeer of a car, you can always change tire sizes. if u have a lot of oversteer, get bigger rear tires so it grips more.
