  • LCA's w/rod ends

I have read that LCA's with rod ends will eliminate bind but tend to be a little noisy, i just wanna know if anyone on here has some and how noisy they are...thanks

I am curious how long the rod ends will last before needing replacement. People talk about them like they need a lot of maintenance even though they work well...

they need to be greased every so often or they start to squeak very loudly. also, the ride will be harsher since nothing will give and the road noise will increase a little. I'd just go w/ poly bushings and be happy w/ that, unless you are looking at competition road/drag racing in the car.

Like most things, there's a large variation in quality of rod ends. Cheap steel on steel will require frequent lubrication and still wear out fast, aircraft quality teflon lined will last a heck of a lot longer.

But they really only work well on a race car that will see few miles/hours of operation per year. I can't imagine why anyone would want to live with them on a street car.

well i really want some LCA's but i dont want any un-necessary bind, do yall think it would be alright to put poly bushings and just deal w/the bind or go ahead and do the rod ends...i dont mind workin on the car ever now and then or dealing with a little noise, im just sick of this wheel hop at the track

just get the poly bushings. they're a lot better than stock rubber.

I should have rod ends later this month. I'll probably get the G2 ones since they are high quality. I'll comment on the noise.
