  • Rear sportline installed, another problem.

I took them off, installed them again and I get the same problem. My drivers side rear wheel has about an inch more wheel well compared to the passanger rear. Anyonw know what the problem is? I checked the bushings, theyre both in straight...

What if you sit in the car and have someone else measure? Maybe there's supposed to be a gap - taking into account the weight of the driver? That's my best guess, anyhow.

my car sits like that after lowering it and many others have the same problem as well. i think its a commom problem among f-bodies and theres really nothing you can do about it unless you get adj. springs for the rear. i tries putting clamps on the driver side spring and it didn't even help. right now i have 2 coils clamped together, i tried 4 coils to see if it made a difference, but it didn't. i held the springs next to each other with all the coils clamped and it was seriously at least 4 inches shorter. it use to bug the crap outta me, but now i just don't even worry about it.

          eweeey.. that dosent sound fun..

makes me glad i got coil overs!

there is no reall way to **** up the rear suspension.. its pretty strait forward..

has your car been in an accident or something?
a bent up suspension component could be to blame..

umm.. i guess you could heat the springs.. that will make then lower.. but.. that will totaly f-up your spring rates..

          good luck

Drive for about 50 miles....the springs will settle....maybe they will be the same then.

it takes a while to have springs settle, so give it some time, and just drive it. they might sink lower over time, and then it'll be even.

ALLGoodNamesAreTaken, how much was the kit, where'd u get it from, and what shocks r u gonna use?

Isn't this a common problem of all F-bodies? I wonder if it has something to do with the panhard rod or something.

It's definitely not the Panhard, the only purpose for that is to handle cornering loads, not any vertical loads.

panhard rod will only shift the rear left or right. when i got mine i thought it was going to fix that problem, but it only centered the rear over the tires.

I still say let the springs settle a bit, and then see if they're still messed up.
