it says max load on the tire of 44psi, 32psi inside the door, and in the owners manual (yes! i read it) it say to go to 40 for highway high speed driving (where legal  )
what do you all run?
i've got 39.5 in right now...i use the highway a lot
I run 32-30, I would recommend using what the it says on the inside of the door. Some GM cars have different tire pressures for front and rear tires. I believe this is do to the weight difference from front to rear. What you should rememeber is, tires fit on many different cars and I wouldn't go by the max tire pressure on the tire. My $.02
hehehe, guys, i know what a tire can handle, i at one point had 62psi in the rear tires. those estimates are CONSERVATIVE :D
higher psi is really for the gas mileage.
these 245's really grip the road well, better than any  goodyear  ever could
EDIT: don't buy goodyear

hmm...i have always ran mine at around 32-35psi. I may try 40 to see if that helps. The tires don't seem to be wearing like they are underinflated. If anything the middle seems to be wearing quicker.
running at a higher pressure would cause the center to bulge out, making it wear even more, so i wouldn't say to go to 40, since you say you already have a lot of wear there.
Your sig is the most important part of your message. Make sure that you list EVERY single thing that you have done to your car so that we can all go \'oooh!\' and \'Ah!\'. Please make your sig consistently longer than anything else you post. Please include your lengthy sig with EVERY single post you make during a reply, even if you only reply with a monosyllable grunt.
The sticker inside the door is CTP (Cold tire pressure). Don't forget that when the tires warm up, the pressure goes up so when you are running 40 psi when the tires are cold, it will go up when they warm up. Look at the tread wear to see if the centers of the tires are wearing faster than the outsides. If so, the tire pressure is too high.
