I like the 255's better. They give a little more traction and will the fenders up a little better. They also keep the speedo right on because they are the exact same height as the 235/55's. The 245's should provide a little better handling because of the lower profile. My vote would be for 255 Kumho's, I know I like mine.
This explaination is based on the popular tire Kumho ECSTA Supra 712.
Let me give you a few definitions....
Measuring Rim Width (MRW) = The measuring rim width is the industry standardized rim width upon which the tire must be mounted in order to confirm it meets its dimensional targets.
Rim Width Range (RWR) = A tire's rim width range identifies the narrowest to the widest rim widths that the tire is designed to fit
Okay... now to the tires. Keep in mind, optional wheels on V6 is 8" wide.
245's are designed to a MRW of 7.5" and a RWR of 7" - 8.5".
255's are designed to a MRW of 8" and a RWR of 7" - 9".
So IMHO, the 255's are the optimal choice in tire size for the optional V6 wheels.
I agree with you Jason - I'm just polling everyone Thanks for the technical clarification - it might be needed in the future.
I had to go with 255s due to the fact my wheels are pretty wide (8.5 or 9"). I got tired of scraping my rims on the curb. It depends how wide your rims are.

Just got a set of Mastercraft 245/50 16's on stock rims. Saved a TON of dough (all in with HSB & Alignment) under $400. Mastercraft might not be one of the "name" tires, but they're made by Cooper and handle real good. Ride is pretty good too. Replaced original Potenza's (235/55) with 62,000 miles on 'em. Just my two cents.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
