Pro Kit installed

installed my eibach pro kit yesterday with the help of some friends. i did most of the work and my back is reminding me.. anyways the back took about 45 min to do both. front took like 7 hours. my spring compressors caused more problems than it helped me, would been done much faster if i had a good set of spring conpressors. anyways. it was all pretty much straight forward. install went well other than being very time consuming. definantly something im not looking forward to doing again when i need the shocks. still using stockers..

the car is low to me, it was a 4X4 before. dropped 1.5 in the front and like 1.3 in the back. sits pretty close to level. scraped on most driveways..lol o well. looks bad *** . need rims now.. handling is nice. body roll is almost gone and steering seems more precise. very confident in the turns. they are pretty stiff but they are not abusive or anything. i didnt notice much change in ride quality but the GF said it feels rougher..lol

looks great but now i need an alignment..

yea, alignment should be done soon so the tires don't wear quick. Oh, and gf's always say that kinda stuff, their butt's seem 2 be more sensitive like that :D What other suspension and chassis mods have u done besides the springs?

i have BMR Boxed subframe connecters, BMR tubular LCA's and BMR STB. and now eibach springs. and kumho 245/50/16

Anyone know what the ground clearance is running the Pro-Kit with a Wings West kit and 17" rubber?

Bliggida, I know that the wings west body kit covers the BMR boxed SFC's, so they're about 3/4 to 1" less ground clearance, and pro kit drops the car about 1.5", so u lose up to 2 1/2" off ur ground clearance. our ride heights are around 4" stock I think, w/o body kits. What tires are u running on the 17" rims?

Lord, I'd look into new shocks to compliment the springs, especially if u plan on getting bigger rims, bigger swaybars, ect. Koni's are good, since you can adjust the ride comfort for ur gf, and then adjust it back when ur by urself. Another cheaper set of shocks u can go w/ would be the Bilstien HD re-valves that Sam Strano sells.

Hey Bliggida, my car has the eibachs and a wings west kit. I have maybe 2-2 1/2 inches of clearance. It rests right around my ankle when I'm stepping out, so I'd there's enough room to slide a tennis shoe underneath. Hope that helps, if you want a visual reference, Here is a side view of my car

jeez, get that nose up! jk, but the car's *** sticks up a bit much, even w/ lowering springs. i'd want a lower rear height than that, just so the front and rear sat even.

Well, one reason my front is so low is b/c the ground effects are broken. Someone did a hit-n-run on me a few weeks ago in a parking lot and messed them all up. I fixed it as best as I could, but they're still hanging down lower than they should be. Gotta get money first to fix. I wouldn't want my rear any lower than it is now. It's hard enough not scraping the front, but having to worry about the rear two would be a major problem. I usually hafta wait for huge traffic gaps when pulling out from parking lots so that I can take it slowly, and even then I've scraped my tailpipes quite a few times.
