  • Choosing shocks.

Ok, ive been looking into new shocks since mine seem to be shot, i want to upgrade but dont want to spend a ton of money.
I know SLP sells the knock off for like 25 a piece. These are just like stock.
    Koni's just seem to expensive
KYB has the Gas shocks for 30 for back and 80 for front are these any good?
Also there is the KYB AGX adjustable ones for 90 a piece.

Well you can put 4 new Bilstein HDs on it for $320 or so.

    :::shox.com:::
    Bilstein shocks 1993 - 2003 Set of 4. $319.00
    KYB AGX shocks 1993 - 2002 Adjustable, set of 4 $379.00

Also, Sam Strano sells them for this price as well, and I'd get them from him if its possible. If you're sticking with stock springs, which is fine, the HDs are great.

The slp ones are not like stock. I swapped out to those shocks and springs, it was like a different car. For 100 bucks you really cant' go wrong.

"The slp ones are not like stock"

they are just like stock.. the difference you noticed is because they are new..

the decarbons s***.. the ride is real nice at first.. but wear really quick.. you just dont notice it.. thats why the feal better when you put them on..

when a friend of mine got his new camaro in 2002 i was like.. wow this rides better then mine.. but it was just because my shocks were worn out more then his new set..

I can vouch for the HD's
I think that price that dominic has from SHOX.com was for the standard replacement bilstines.. My friend got a set of HD'S from them for a little more money (but not much)..

I dont know about the others..

He is right, the SLP ones are not like stock for 1997 and earlier cars... Since the SLP ones are using the revised 1998+ stiffer shock valving.

Both the Bilstein HD's and the KYB AGX shocks are awesome sets. I chose the KYB's in my setup due to the adjustment factor. I like being able to change my setup when I want to and you don't have that option with the Bilsteins.
