Which lowering spring is the better one to buy? I see H&R's are slightly cheaper than Eibachs and seem to be highly regarded as well - does anyone have any ideas if the spring rate is different between them?

Sprint is cheaper than all of em. Depending how low your springs drop your car, you're gonna feel bumps regardless. It's a give and take situation. Depends on how the roads are too, here in St.Louis, the streets are ragedy as a mofo..LOL

The cars i have rid in with eibachs have not been as harsh as with sprints. I was in a buddys car with sprints and that thing was terribly harsh. I would go Eibachs or H&R but definetly not Sprint.Hot Cammed LT1 Sleeper

the H&R springs are progressive. i have the RKSport springs which are made by H&R. i couldn't tell you the spring rate b/c i don't know it, but they are relatively close to Eibach.94 Firebird - Red A4
http://members.cardomain.com/predatorbird

Thanks for the tips guys... I wonder if the H&R's are stiffer than the Eibach's? On a BMW at least, tirerack claims they liked the H&Rs over the Eibachs.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

I don't know much about H&R, but eibach only drops camaro and FBirds 1.5" at the max. I know a guy that has eibachs on his camaro and I couldn't tell he had it lowered! That's a waste of time and money. So of course eibach are gonna ride a little better.99 Camaro Z28 A4
R.I.P. 00 Firebird 3.8
14.89 @ 90, 2.03 60\'

If you want your car noticably low, go with H&R or sprint, otherwise go the expensive route and get eibach.99 Camaro Z28 A4
R.I.P. 00 Firebird 3.8
14.89 @ 90, 2.03 60\'

First of all you need to decide what you want to do. If you want to go low i would get Ground Control, which i had on my car for a while. They come with linear rate Eibachs and you can adjust how low you want. There are some downsides though. The other choice for all out low are the Sportlines by Eibach.
Now if you want a non harsh ride and decent looks then a spring like Eibach and H&R would be good choices.Hot Cammed LT1 Sleeper

Honestly I'm just looking for better cornering performance, the fact that the car is lowered or not I really don't care about. I certainly don't want the car too low - just low enough that it corners better, but nothing that makes the ride feel like a Jeep :D
Thanks for the help guys.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

Global West also seems to have an adjustable kit out.

As for lowering, the kit that Eibach has for our cars says it gives a 1" drop. That just doesn't seem enough. I was considering the H&R springs too, but i had never heard anything about them. Tirerack seems to like them, and i have had no problems with tirerack so far.Matt
\'96 Camaro Z28 M6
\'96 Camaro M5
