• Help me buy new tires!

It's time to put new tires on the ol camaro. I'm currently running 235/55s all the way around on 16x8s. Here is what I want:
235/55s up front
255/??s in the back (I want the same diameter as the front)
They have to last me at least 35,000 miles, can't cost over 150 per tire and they have to provide good handling and grip. A guy at the local les schwab didn't have much in stock but he said he could order whatever I came up with. So send me your suggestions!

Do you run these tires? How do they handle? Do they make a lot of noise? I can't run anything larger than the 235s up front because my wheels have an offset and they already scrape a little.

Go to Tirerack.com and print out the price for Kumho 712's 255/50/16's (I think they were $92.) Then take that price into discount tire and they will match prices for you. I highly recommend the 255's. They fill up the wheel well nicely and give you that nice wide tread. The 712's are great tires too!

Nascar Jim I think I'm going to do just that. Do they make the same tire in a 235/55? I have to use that size on the front or I won't be able to turn .
