ok guys here is my dilema. well about a week ago i i jumped the curb with my rear passenger wheel and since then i have been hearing this swooshing type of sound. it doesnt matter at what speed i am going at i can still hear it. my question to yall is, do you think that i might have just thrown the wheel out of balance or maybe actually broke something under the car? ive been looking at the wheel daily and havent noticed any bubbles in the tire but im gonna be driving about 1000 miles on monday and i dont a blowout from my tire being to far out of balance. any ideas? tomorrow i will be throwing it up on a lift and checking the tire any other ideas will be greatly appreciated.

same thing happened to me a few months ago. But I broke a belt in my tire and threw the alignment off. Never heard any weird sounds though... Where is the sound coming from?
And obviously, dont drive for extended periods of time if there is any bubbles.

Do you hear the sound inside the car, or is it like if your windows are down you hear it outside?

well i can hear it inside the car with the windows up, the radio off, and the ac off. i havent been able to tell which side it is coming from. it changes with the speed of the car if i go slow it will swoosh slow, when i speed up ot speed up. i cant feel any kind of weird vibrations and when i was under the car this past weekend i couldnt see anything scratched, bent, cracked or broken. do you think that it could be my driveshaft that is maybe dented or warped? maybe my axle?

I had this swooshing sound when I slammed the curb with my rear a while back.
Take a stand back & check to see if your rear end is evenly aligned in regards to the rear wheelwells. Quite possibly you have one rear tire is rubbing along the inner wheelwell and chances are that the affected tire has a buffed out surface area on the inner face of the tire.
Mines was so severe & obvious that the inner face of the tire chirped against the inner wheelwell under hard cornering.
Better yet, ask a friendly oil change center to put you & your car on a lift while the techs look up to see what's causing your problem.
            Good luck!
