I got new pads and rotors up front, and It squeeks really bad when I apply the brakes. So I take it back and the guy at the brake place says that the new pads and rotors will do that.
He says that the pads have to settle into the rotors, and when they start to wear, the squeak will go away. He said to let 500 miles to go by, then if it still squeeks bring it back.
I dont fully believe him, because I had my brakes done on my camaro there like 4 years ago, and I know it didnt' squeak. When my mom bought he last car, it was brand new 0 miles, and her brakes didn't squeak. I have never heard of this.
Is this guy full of ****?
