I am planning on replacing my rotors soon, cause they have grooves in both front ones. Will going aftermarket be any better than stock? if so what are the best rotors that wont kill my bank account?

I second that. The $60/ea brembo replacement rotors for the Fbody are about the best thing going right now. 2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

If you want to really save some money...
Autozone carries replacement ones like stock (not cross drilled or slotted or anything) for only $38.99 a piece! It's a great deal and a lot of people have had luck with them. They've been working pretty good on my car now, and I've autocrossed a few events with them .

I just took my car in to a shop just for kicks to have them look at my brakes...they tell me I need new rotors up front with pads and new drums in the back with new shoes...$900. I laughed my way out...
I ordered some Brembo rotors for the front with some Raybestos ceramic pads. The back, I'm not sure what I'll go with. I don't need anything over the top, just decent.

autozone are just fine. its the cross drilled or slotted look that sells the others.. they are really no better unless you go top of the line with willwood or eradispeeds.. autozones on my car for about 7 months and they are fine

Brembo is "Top of the Line", above Wilwood and Baer. Tire Rack sells the rotor blanks which is what I have.
