• WHAT CAN I FIT

I have a 1998 camaro with the eilbach 1.4 spring drop what size tires can i run. Will i still be able to run a set of 275/40/17 or will it have to be smaller. I think they might hit up front. I am also looking for a set of 17 inch rims that are very light and strong what should i use.
To speed or not to speed that is the question.

You will still be able to run the 275's in the rear, but I would only go with a 245 or maybe a 255 width in the front...I think that 255 would really be pushing it though.

If you go with 275/40/17 tires on a 17x9 wheel, the total wheel/tire height will be less than stock, so you're okay there. It's the wheel width and tire width that you have to worry about. I feel that you'd have a better chance with 255/45/17s on a 17x8 wheel, because then you've satisfied stock total wheel/tire height and wheel width. The only issue now is tire width. First best thing to do is go to a shop and have them test mount a wheel w/ tire for you. Next best thing to do is take measurements yourself with the wheels straight, wheels turned left and wheels turned right.

It's also based on the offset of the wheel. A negative(deepdish) offset will have a greater chance of rubbing when you turn hard.

you can still run 275/40/17's in the front w/ it lowered. thats what i have w/ rksport springs which lower it more than eibach prokit. my tires sometimes rub a little bit, but its not a big deal.

Yea, I don't think it'll be a problem. I'm running 255s on 18" wheels lowered and not having any problems rubbing in the front. My wheels also have a negative offset.
