ok i cant pinpoint a straight answer on the search button, so this is the problem. whenever i am moving i hear a "squeak squeak squeak" coming from the rear left. the squeak pulses increase with speed. and it also seems to do it when i brake too. my pads are low but i dont think its the pad cause wouldnt that squeak be a solid sound only upon braking?? could it be the bearing? i tried shaking the wheel on the ground and it was moving a lil bit but its getting worse so any help would be great, thanx!

Bent axle. Mine did it with the rear I installed a few years ago. The squeaking drove me crazy! I did almost everything else to pinpoint the noise (brake pads, rotors, axle bearings, and changing the calipers), but it turned out that the driver's axle had a slight bend in it, and made the rotors squeak every revolution at every speed.sigpic

axle in my opinion would be the last thing to check... make shur ur rotors arent warped. also i had never thought of this but i had that problem and i had a very slight warp (un noticable) and my rotors had crystalized (ya look it up its legit) after just the right succession of braking and cooling over a year or so, the rotors crystalize and harden... and a harder rotor means more reverbaration...causing sound. that was my situation with the same problem.99\' Camaro v6 T5- SOLD<br />2004 VW Golf TDI

If the rotor is warped, the wear tabs (or squeal tabs) on the rear pads (that let you know you need to replace them) might be hitting the rotor each time it goes by that warp.
