• Hotchkis Boxed LCAS

First question:
Are the hotchkis boxed LCAs and the BMR Poly/Poly Boxed LCAs very different?
Second Question:
Whats the cheapest place to buy the Hotchkiss Boxed LCAs, without the panhard bar? Just the LCAs.
Third:
Do I need an aftermarket panhard bar for anything that I will experience running anywhere from 15s to low 13s?

I have a little power now, and I need to stick it to the ground. I will be getting slicks ASAP as well.
TIA!

Hahhaha why are you going to get slicks? Nitto's would be fine for that 16 second beast!

yeah (ok this next part is pure opinion others might not concur) I would get the panard bar just to help prevent wheel hop.. I think the stock one much to flimsy for that kind of power..

I know there are those out there who are going to disagree.. but yes if you are planning to get into the 13's then you do.. espicially with all the torque that nitrous is going to subject the rear end to....

about the rest of that stuff.. well personally I'd just go with BMR.. whether you go with BMR or hochkis you are buying an aftermarket part that the car was never designed to have so the pro's and cons are the same.. I think hochkis parts are a wee bit overpriced.. in the end though it's your money and I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for..

one last edit: no clue on where to get hochkis for cheap..

If you go aftermarket, Hotchkis. Yes they are higher priced, but I believe they are worth it. Since I am a manager at a company that supplies OEM parts to the "BIG THREE" I have my personal reasons, as an insider to the industry.

Yeah there's a BMR GP going on at www.fbodytrader.com Go into the Sponsor Forum and look underneath the sponsor ACA Performance. It's a great GP and we're getting close to cost prices.

Your an idiot. If you don't have anything smart to say, then stay out of the post and go hang out at fbody trader...
Not trying to be rude.. but what was the point of saying that???

A nicely painted part does not make it a quality part.

Firebird GT, I have heard many people say that hotchkis is the best, but what makes it better? If it thicker? The bushings? Or is it just a better built product?

It is an engineered, quality product, accepted by GM. With welded products you need to know what you are doing, just because you can weld doesn't mean you know HOW to weld. This goes for many aftermarket suppliers, none of whom would or could supply to GM.
