• Thinking about suspension upgrading

Hello, I was wondering what a good set-up for a total suspension upgrade would be. I want to buy it all at the same time and of course...want the best bang for my buck. I am not bias towards any brands so any and all different are fine. Also, this will basically be just for my driving pleasure/safety. TIA

Bilsten HD shocks, stock springs or Eibach V6 springs, 1LE front/rear swaybars, a sturdy strut tower brace if you like, and a good panhard rod. The most important item is of course tires though.

Thx for the reply. What is your opinion on sub-frame connectors such as KBDD for instance. Should I get those as well or something else perhaps? My tires should be fine. I bought the firehawk rims with the g-force tires...so all is good there. thx again and please excuse my incompetence in this area of automotive stuff. I just started learning, and even after reading up on all this stuff, I seem to still not understand the ins and outs in this area.

sfcs are a great first mod. The best suspension needs a solid chassis to work against. No one sfc is that much better than others. The same is true for stbs.

I'll just note that while Dominic and I usually agree, we disagree strongly about using "1LE" swaybars with stock V6 springs. A little searching of the forum will take you to several discussions. :D

Its okay to disagree.
 Thats the fun part about suspensions, there is no one correct best of all worlds setup... The more serious you get, the more you find the weaknesses/pluses of all sorts of items .

As far as the subframes go I am very undecided. There is a lot of controversy about what to buy but I have yet to hear someone buy a set and complain afterwards . My only recommendation is not to buy BMR boxed unless you want them to hang down and possibly scrape.

And V6bob is right, the more ridgid the vehicle is to begin with the better you'll corner
