• 20's on my 02 Fbod?

Hey guys, just wondering about getting 20's on my car. Would it require any modz to the car and/or the wheels?

thanks

Don't really know yet. Nothing to gangster. Just want something bigger than my lil 16's.

prolly nothing bigger than 9.5 inches wide so I won't have to worry about backspacing.

IMO, 20's (or dubz as you would) look ridiculous on f-bodies. I wouldn't go any bigger than 18's.

20's???!!! WTF? So I guess you plan on throwing a huge heavy a$$ system in there too and drop it like 3 inches? I mean why? I know the 16s are small, but I think 18s are the highest anyone should go on an f-body. I'm gonna tell you know, you will probaly regret it if you plan on doing any kind of racing. Dis-reguard my statement if you are going for all show and no go.

Everybody is not into racing and performance like most of you here. I saw some dubs on a TA and they were tight. That's some balla type stuff ya'll don't know about. Firebirdguy, go for it. Just make sure they're CHROME.

I agree with shortdog... not 100% of fbody owners have that racing thing in their minds... some like their cars to look good while they are riding at night.. and definetly 20" or 19" looks awesome in the cars if you wanna go in that direction... i just bought some 19"s for my bird that is in brazil and i think that you should go for it..!!! 18's nice
19's bold
20's insane!

I wouldent plan on buying 20s and it beaing a daily driver..

one, it will ride harsh as hell.

two, they wont last real long.. my friend w/18's has had his for 6 months and he allready has some nice dents in them fron hitting pot holes and stuff.. simply because you can fit enough tire around them to protect the rim..

19's imo look great! and are more "practical".. cheeper tires and will be less suseptable to damage..

I have an idea, have 20's for the rear, since the springs/shocks are more forgiving, and use 19's in front, and using 19's in front will let u have a little mroe tire to keep some decent ride quality. either way, u might wanna invest in some adjustable shocks that let u mess w/ the ride quality.

I saw a set of 19" Privat Fahren's on a 00 bird v6, and omg. I looked up the rims at www.tires.com and the picture does nothing for the rim. They looked soooooo good. They were 19x8 with 245/35/19 yokohamas on them. Dammit, i want them now, im gonna get em too. :D
