  • Whats a good price for a used 96Z28 rear end for a swap

I am going to do a rear End swap on my car so i can get Posi and discs in back before I put the NOS kit in. I Know speed Automotive wants 250 for a rear end what should I expect to pay if I go to a junkyard????

It's hard to find fbody parts in junk yards. $250 sounds good. Wonder what's the shipping on that. You can try to bargain down since it's an old rear end. Just make sure it's a 3.42.

$250 is pretty good, but if I remeber correctly that is just for the 3.23 rears, and the 3.42 rears are $300.

You'll have a hard time beating those prices though. Only way to find out is to pick up the phone and call around.
