What is a 1LE insulator?

I'm thinking of getting 1LE front and rear swaybars.

I'll probably get poly endlinks and bushings but I also read about an "insulator"?

What the hell does that do? It it necessary for the sway bar installs?

I got mine from LM Performance. They came as a set w/ Energy Suspension poly bushings and endlinks. A little bit of white lithium grease, and all is hunky dory. I dig the ride quality.

It is the GM name for the body bushing.
