    So if the only difference is the bushing, why bother buying the the whole new, same, LCA?

      Because:

      Most of the slop is in the bushing.

      The poly bushings on most aftermarket LCAs can bind, making them inferior to even stock LCAs.

      Removing stock bushings and installing 1LE bushings is a pain.

        The GM dealer parts list does not list the bushing as a separate part number, only the complete LCA and PHR.
