The brake feel of my 94 has been slowly deteriorating for the past year. Some days it stops fine, while other days I seem to creep half way into the intersection The feel is really inconsistent.
I still have the standard disc/drum setup. I have changed the rotors and pads up front, but the drum's pads were nearly as thick as the new pads so I left those alone. Do drums generally have a long life compared to the discs?
I know stopping power has never been great with the disc/drum setup but I seem to remember it being better than this. Could old fluid and lines contribute to these symptoms? I can bottom out the brake pedal with some effort, but nothing really substantial; is that normal? The fluid level is fine, and there are no signs of leaks that I can find. Any ideas or comments would be appreciated :D
