Should work fine, it was the best spring option presented to me (aside from coilover kit). Just make sure you get shocks that can handle the higher front spring rates - Bilstein HD's would probably work well, revalved Bilsteins or Koni SA's would be better.

I put them on my '98 v6. For autocrossing. I went with Koni SA shocks too.

The weight difference between the v6 and v8 is not all that much actually.

Had them on there for about a year now. I did put the spring perch on the lower setting on the koni's, rather than the higher setting. (2 slots to choose from for the snap ring)

just finished installing my v8 pro springs. i have had the back on for quite a while (since that's easy ). the front drop is about 0.5" and the rear is probably (forgot to measure) a bit over an 1" or so. i had been holding off until i decided on some shocks. the weight difference on the front between the v8 and the v6 is around 70 lbs or so if i remember rightly.

any more of a drop in the front and i wont be able to get the jack under the subframes.

the spring compressor made by ampro (available at autozone) seemed to work fine for the job. also, instead of the pickle fork (balljoint seperator) a two-jaw puller is 'better' for seperating the lower ball joint. it wont damage the rubber boot.
